Tim Martinek - Survey Manager
Tim Martinek is the Survey Department Manager for Engineering Resource Associates (ERA). Tim has over 19 years of surveying experience, with 4 of these spent working at ERA. His primary role at the company is to coordinate ERA’s land surveying teams. He has managed both field and office personnel to complete numerous route and topographic surveys for various clients. Tim has also performed and managed fieldwork related to IDOT and Illinois Tollway, land acquisition plats, and conveyance plats.

Tim graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1999, and then later pursued the Illinois IPLSA Sponsored Land Surveying Program at Southern Illinois University from 2001-2003 and obtained his Professional Land Surveyor’s License. Tim is part of the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association (IPLSA) and the National Society of Professional Surveyors. He has several areas of expertise, including managing field crews and directly overseeing their work, performing all necessary legal and boundary research in relation to survey projects, coordinating scheduling of crews for design and construction projects, and exhibiting strong knowledge in the preparation of survey products from field to finish of large development projects.

Tim volunteers in his community as a scout leader and youth basketball coach. He enjoys time spent with his family and outdoor activities like fishing, camping, and hiking.
