Samantha Heatherly Selected as WMU Presidential Scholar

Congratulations to Samantha Heatherly, Design Engineer at ERA, for being selected as Western Michigan University's Presidential Scholar for Civil and Construction Engineering! Each year, WMU's faculty selects one senior from each discipline to be recognized. This year, 50 scholars were chosen from a senior class of 5,082 students. Every year, faculty members from all over the University choose the most brilliant senior in their different academic schools, departments and programs to typify their units as a WMU Presidential Scholar. The Presidential Scholar designation is the greatest academic goodness that WMU can grant on its undergraduates. Choice is based on a student's general academic greatness, academic and artistic excellence comparative to their majors, and intellectual and artistic pledge. The 2022 Presidential Scholars Meeting, which is by invitation only, will comprise of a program highlighting a basis address by WMU Board of Trustees vice Chair Shelly Edgerton, who is legal agreement and government matters counsel for LivWell Enlightened Health Michigan.
