ERA is working with the Village of Carol Stream to document the stream bank erosion along Klein Creek from Lies Road to North Avenue, as well as Thunderbird Creek from Klein Creek to Gary Avenue. The project is only in the initial design phase and ERA is investigating potential funding sources, but the Village would like to begin obtaining input and feedback from the affected residents. At this stage the Village does not believe it can afford to stabilize the creeks unless it obtains several grants and contributions from the residents whose properties are along the creek.
