SURVEY CREW CHIEF
​Warrenville, IL

Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to work in our Warrenville office. ERA is a civil engineering firm providing civil, structural, environmental, and surveying services to both public and private clients throughout Illinois. Our surveying services include topographical measurement, elevation certificates, ALTA Surveys, boundary surveys, plats of subdivision, easement plats, GPS, construction layout, as-constructed measurement and expert witness services. ERA utilizes current state-of-the-art survey equipment including robotic total stations and Trimble GPS units.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform field survey tasks related to on-time completion of topographic, boundary, ALTA and construction surveys for municipal and private projects
  • Keep accurate, detailed, and professional notes and sketches
  • Ability to research and interpret recorded survey documents, maps, plats and deeds
  • Assist with CAD tasks in the preparation of construction, ALTA, boundary, topographic and Plats of Subdivision
  • Maintain a high standard for quality and accuracy of work
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of survey related experience
  • 2+ years of survey field crew chief experience
  • Surveyor-in-Training (SIT) in the State of Illinois is a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
  • Ability to read construction plans and execute field stakings
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to our company insurance provider
  • Ability to work independently with a diverse project team
  • The ideal candidate is proficient in operating Trimble GPS/VRS and Robotic Total Stations

PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYOR
Warrenville, IL
Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. is seeking an Illinois licensed Professional Land Surveyor to join our growing surveying team in our Warrenville office. Our surveying services include topographic surveys, ALTA Surveys, boundary surveys, condominium surveys, plats of subdivision, easement plats, construction layout, as-constructed measurement, elevation certificates, and expert witness services. ERA utilizes current state-of-the-art survey equipment including Trimble robotic total stations and GPS units.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage assigned survey projects  
  • Communicate with clients and project managers to determine work scope of survey projects, accommodate work requests, and create work orders 
  • Perform CAD based calculations and boundary analysis  
  • Perform CAD tasks in the preparation of Construction, ALTA, Boundary, Topographic and Plats of Subdivision  
  • Ability to competently read civil drawings, including complex details, and successfully interpret for construction layout 
  • Perform project research of recorded survey documents, maps, plats and deeds 
  • QA/QC and supervising the preparation of survey drawings and documents 
  • Perform field work when necessary 
  • Train interns and entry level staff 
 
Qualifications:
  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Illinois. 
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D

SURVEY CAD TECHNICIAN
Warrenville, IL
Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to join our growing surveying team in our Warrenville office. The primary role of this position is to support the Survey Department using AutoCAD. Candidates will be responsible for applying and developing technical skills while producing various survey-related drawings. 
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Produce various survey related drawings including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, subdivision plats, dedications, easements, as-constructed surveys, construction layout exhibits, etc.  
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete assignments on time and within company drafting standards 
  • Complete edits/revisions as directed by agencies, municipalities and clients 
  • Ability to work independently with a diverse project team 
  • Communicate with project managers, field crews, and others on workflow status to ensure productivity goals are met 
 
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of drafting experience in the surveying/engineering field   
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Working knowledge of Land Survey procedures and workflows 
  • Candidate must have knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

SITE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT ENGINEER

Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Site Development Project Engineer for our Warrenville office. The primary role of this position is to work on site development projects, while assisting on other stormwater, infrastructure, and transportation projects as needed. The primary role of this position is to prepare civil engineering design drawings and supplemental reports relating to land development and infrastructure projects.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications (Required):
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • 1-5 years of experience in construction engineering
  • Familiarity with IDOT materials and documentation procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents, compute quantities, verify measurements and layouts
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to maintain detailed daily diary entries

The primary role of this position is to develop comprehensive structural designs and rehabilitation for transportation projects, as well as structural inspections. The ideal candidate has extensive work experience in the field of Structural Engineering.
 
Qualifications:                                                                                                                                  
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience within a consulting engineering firm focused on structural work
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois

Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineering Intern to work in our Warrenville office. The primary role of this position is to work on transportation, structural, stormwater and infrastructure projects. The intern will assist with preparation of civil engineering design drawings, specifications, estimates, and supplemental reports. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a bachelor's in civil engineering, and working towards their professional engineering license. Qualifications:
  • 0-4 years of experience (site development specific experience preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
