ERA's Hoffmann Receives Young Engineer of the Year Award
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. (ERA) is proud to announce that Kelly Jo Hoffmann, PE, SE received the Young Engineer of the Year Award at the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers' (ISPE) 2010 Annual Convention in Champaign on July 23rd and 24th.
Based out of ERA's Champaign office, Kelly Jo is a structural engineer with over eight years of professional experience. At ERA, she serves as the design leader and inspector on structural projects for state agencies, county agencies, and municipalities throughout Illinois. She calculates, details, and oversees implementing her design concepts to other design engineers and CAD technicians. She works directly with her numerous governmental clients. She earned her Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois-Champaign Urbana in 2001, and her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois-Champaign Urbana in 2000.

ERA Provides Environmental and Design Services for Forest Preserve District of Will County
WHEATLAND TOWNSHIP, Ill. - Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. (ERA) was retained by the Forest Preserve District of Will County for the Vermont Cemetery Access project. ERA’s Environmental Services team will provide innovative and low impact design solutions to develop the 24-acre Vermont Cemetery Preserve. The proposed amenities include a small parking area, bicycle trail, native planting plans, and incorporating a variety of best management practices (BMPs) to protect a valuable remnant prairie and to mitigate pollutants from impervious surfaces.
ERA Acquires Structural Engineering Firm
WARRENVILLE, Ill. - Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. (ERA), a 20-year-old, civil engineering, surveying and environmental science consulting firm, is very pleased to announce it has acquired Frauenhoffer and Associates, PC. Frauenhoffer and Associates, PC is a structural engineering consultant based in Champaign, Illinois. Frauenhoffer and Associates, PC has served clients throughout northern and central Illinois for nearly 30 years. The acquisition will further strengthen ERA’s structural design capabilities and will accommodate growth throughout the Midwest.
