ERA is providing Phase I and Phase II Engineering Services for the reconstruction of 0.51 miles of existing four-lane roadway. This includes shifting the roadway south to include a 5-ft sidewalk on the north and shared-use path on the south. Design elements include geometric improvements, traffic signal modernization, lighting design, drainage design, the addition of a multi-use path and ADA improvements along an urban restricted right-of-way. The project will improve the roadway functionality along a principle arterial Class II truck route and provide continuity with adjacent City of Rockford Corridor improvements.
