ERA provided Phase I and II engineering services for the replacement of the Kishwaukee Valley Road culvert (SN 056-3202) using federal funds for the construction of the bridge. The two-cell culvert was replaced with a Single-Span Cast-In-Place (CIP) slab bridge superstructure (SN 056-3216) on integral abutments on piles. The bridge was on a straight roadway alignment with a Seismic Performance Zone (SPZ) of 1. The proposed back-to-back abutments are 43’-0” with an out-to-out deck width of 44’-0”. Phase I engineering included an inspection, Bridge Condition Report (BCR), Type, Size & Location (TS&L) drawing, Hydraulic Report, Environmental Studies, and Project Development Report (PDR). Phase II engineering included the construction documents for the bridge, permitting, Plat of Highways (POH), and load rating analysis for the new structure.
