ERA is a civil engineering firm providing civil, structural, environmental, and surveying services to both public and private clients throughout Illinois. Our surveying services include topographical measurement, elevation certificates, ALTA Surveys, boundary surveys, plats of subdivision, easement plats, GPS, construction layout, as-constructed measurement and expert witness services. The primary role of this position is to support the Survey Department using AutoCAD. CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERN | SUMMER 2026
​Internship - Warrenville, IL

Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineering Intern to work in our Warrenville office. The primary role of this position is to work on transportation, structural, stormwater and infrastructure projects. The intern will assist with preparation of civil engineering design drawings, specifications, estimates, and supplemental reports. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a bachelor's in civil engineering, and working towards their professional engineering license. Qualifications:
  • 0-4 years of experience (site development specific experience preferred)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • General understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D software (continued training will be provided in this software)
  • Candidate must be organized, self-motivated, dependable, personable, able to multitask, and work effectively as a team member
  • Salary will commensurate with experience
