ERA provided design assistance and recommendations for the development of the Harvest Wind Ridge Farm in Douglas County, IL. Existing bridge and culvert crossings were analyzed to provide safe routes for hauling the necessary materials and equipment for construction of the 48 wind turbines. The 600’ tall turbines, the largest of their kind in North America, will provide enough clean energy to power approximately 70,000 homes.

ERA staff recently completed design plans, specifications and construction observation for the Butterfield Road Beautification & Streetscape project in Warrenville, IL. Structural aspects of the project included decorative, masonry gateway signs on Winfield Road and Butterfield Road as well as masonry columns at the IL Route 56 bridge over the W. Branch of the DuPage River.  Land survey construction layout staking and storm sewer installation is continuing this week at Funway Entertainment Center located in Batavia, IL. Underground improvements will make way for a new state of the art go-cart track and miniature golf course among other improvements.

A new aluminum stair system was designed to provide safe access for the UCSD maintenance staff to the adjacent Digester covers. Also, deteriorating roads within the plant were reconstructed with improved drainage ditches and successfully started and finished without interruption to plant deliveries.  ERA continues to provide Phase 3 Construction Phase Services for The Brook residential development project for Lennar Homes located in Bolingbrook, IL. Services include construction land survey layout and SWPPP erosion control observation for this multi-family housing development. Lennar is constructing a 288 unit high-end apartment complex on twenty-one acres. The development consists of nine 3-story buildings, detached garages and a clubhouse/pool.
