ERA provided design assistance and recommendations for the development of the Harvest Wind Ridge Farm in Douglas County, IL. Existing bridge and culvert crossings were analyzed to provide safe routes for hauling the necessary materials and equipment for construction of the 48 wind turbines. The 600’ tall turbines, the largest of their kind in North America, will provide enough clean energy to power approximately 70,000 homes.

Our Environmental Services Director, Erin Pande, is currently working with Park District staff to make the much needed improvements to the water quality of the lake, restore the shoreline and the area's natural habitat, as well as provide greater amenities for public access. The recent OSLAD grant award will greatly assist with this effort!
