ERA retained to conduct a full boundary and topographic survey
ELMHURST, Ill. - Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. (ERA) has been retained by the Elmhurst Park District to prepare a land survey of Wilder Mansion landscape plan. The Wilder Mansion, which reopened its doors in December 2008, has changed through expansions and remodeling, but has continued to remain a historical landmark within the Elmhurst community. The restored Wilder Mansion provide an additional 14,000-square-feet of multi-use space for the Park District and community. ERA’s responsibilities will include conducting and drafting a full boundary and topographic survey tied to the Illinois State Plain Coordinate System.
The Elmhurst Park District was the recipient of a generous donation from the family of the late Diana Nicholas. As a result, Wilder Mansion is now framed by gorgeous gardens that beautify the community in her memory. Located on the west side of Wilder Mansion, the Diana Nicholas Memorial Gardens are intricate Victorian-era plots inspired by 18th century French and English designs. The park district used no tax dollars for the construction of the gardens.
