ERA selected to provide design engineering services for the reconstruction of 8,000 feet of existing rural streets
NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. (ERA) provided design engineering services for the reconstruction of 8,000 feet of existing rural streets for the City of Naperville to meet current City Standards. The project included new bituminous pavement with curb and gutters, storm sewers, sidewalks, and street lights, along with watermain and sanitary sewer extensions. The project area has many mature trees that had to be accounted for in the design. Several public meetings were held to keep the residents informed during the design phase. The project also included the analysis and design of stormwater management facilities. Detention was required due to the conversion of an open ditch system to a closed storm sewer system. Naperville selected ERA from a group of over 25 engineering firms because of ERA’s experience in transportation and infrastructure projects of similar scope and stormwater management expertise.
