ERA to complete final engineering design for Shadow Creek Estates, a 161-acre residential development in Frankfort, Illinois

FRANKFORT, Ill. - Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. (ERA) is pleased to announce it has been chosen to complete final engineering design for Shadow Creek Estates, a 161-acre residential development in the Village of Frankfort. The project, consisting of 191 residential lots surrounded by fully improved right-of-way based on Village of Frankfort specifications, will also allow for a generous 42 acres of open space. Several wet detention ponds will be incorporated into the design, totaling over 18 acres in surface area. ERA’s Environmental Resources team conducted a wetlands delineation for the site, while ERA has mobilized its field crews to complete topographical field surveying for the property using GPS equipment and software. In addition to preparing design documents, ERA will also assist in obtaining permits from necessary government agencies, including FEMA. ERA will analyze and model existing unmapped floodplain through the site as part of the FEMA permitting process.
