ERA to provide civil engineering design services for for The Residence of Midway Village

CHICAGO - Engineering Resource Associates, Inc. (ERA) has been selected to provide civil engineering design for The Residence of Midway Village. Located near the northeast corner of Midway Airport, this 6-acre project includes the construction of a six-story apartment complex and six two-story condominium buildings. All seven buildings will be designed using the innovative "senior suites" design approach. ERA will provide engineering and stormwater management design in accordance with City of Chicago standards. In addition, ERA will review structural footing designs in proximity to an existing 60-inch City of Chicago watermain. Because of low pressure in existing mains surrounding the site, ERA will design a unique dual-watermain system for the project, providing a main for domestic water and sprinkler protection services and a separate main for hydrants.
